I started lifting when I was around 16 years old. I was out of shape, unpopular, unhealthy and honestly only had interest in playing video games. Safe to say I had a very sedentary life! I was always unhappy with how I looked but one day I had enough. I was tired of being bullied and feeling inadequate. I then took a deep dive into learning how to lose weight, weighting my food, cardio, and weight training and supplementation. I’ve never been one to half ass something so I went in 100% and did it for myself. I didn’t cheat on my birthday, holidays or any specific events, I was all in. Being this dedicated lead me in only one direction. Competing. I mean what else do you do when you put forth obsessive like dedication in the gym. You put your work up against everyone else! Ive competed in 4 shows and have placed 1st in all but one (2nd place my first show). Once I had my first daughter, found my career in law enforcement and life began to become more demanding I stopped to put forth my time/attention into my family. Fast forward 7/8 years and I’m still grinding. Though I haven’t stepped on stage I haven’t let up on my dedication. With my demanding life and work schedule I relay highly on planning ahead. I make sure before I head off to work my meals are packed, vitamins are in baggies, gym bag has all of my clothes and lastly my supplements.
